Schedule of Events (TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE) Overview
Wednesday, August 27PNM Recruitment Orientation
5:00pm-6:30pm
This session will provide an overview of the Recruitment process. Participants will meet with their Recruitment Counselors, known as Pi Chi’s, who will assist them in making final preparations for the week. Recruitment Orientation is mandatory for all women registered for Panhellenic Primary Recruitment
Friday, August 29Meet and Greet Day 1
3:00pm-9:00pm
This is the first day of the recruitment process and is split between two physical days. Participants will meet and visit with half of the Panhellenic sororities in the Main Student Center ballrooms.
Saturday, August 30Meet and Greet Day 2
12:30pm-6:30pm
The second day of Meet and Greek will be for participants to visit with the second half of the Panhellenic chapters in the Main Student Center ballrooms. At the end of this day, students will rank chapters in the order that they would be interested in going back to.
Sunday, August 31Sisterhood Day
7:30am-10:30pm (There will be breaks throughout the day)
Potential New Members may visit up to eight sororities to learn about their organizational values and chapter activities. This round of recruitment will also take place in the Main Student Center ballrooms. At the end of this day, participants will rank the chapters they visited in the order they would be interested in going back to.
Monday, September 1House Tour Day
8:30am-10:30pm
(There will be breaks throughout the day)
Students will visit up to five organizations to take a tour of the chapter houses, connect with the chapter members, and learn about the financial obligations of sorority membership. This round is held at the individual chapter houses and students are transported via University Transit busses. At the end of this day, students will prioritize the chapters they visited that they would be interested in going back to.
Tuesday, September 2Preference Day
5:00pm-10:00pm
Students will visit up to two chapters this evening and participate in a ceremony reflecting the core values of each organization. The chapter will spend time sharing what makes their sisterhood special and unique. This round is held at the individual chapter houses and students are transported via University Transit busses. At the end of this day the participants will rank their remaining chapter(s) in order of interest and sign a Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement (MRABA) stating that they would be willing to receive an invitation to membership from any of the groups ranked on their MRABA.
Wednesday, September 3Bid Day
5:30pm-12:00am
Participants will receive a bid from one of the organizations that was listed on their MRABA and have the opportunity to become a new member of one of the Panhellenic sororities at ECU.
